A new widget

Hi, dear students of Classical Civilization in the bilingual section! You thought I had forgotten you, didn’t you? The truth is that a huge amount of work didn’t let me write two lines here earlier. But, at least, this post and the widget I’m presenting is dedicated especially to you.

If you check in the left side of the page, you’ll see the widget with the title “Greek Gods and Goddesses”. It gives you minimum information about the Greek Gods and two links: one for further information in several sites such as Wikipedia, Theoi.com, etc; and the other one to enlarge the image.

However, the nicest thing, in my opinion, is that the God changes whenever you visit the page or you do something in it such as reading the posts or writing a comment. I reckon that it could be a funny and relaxing way to learn Greek mythology, what do you think? I’m looking forward to your comments.

Hi teacher, I´m Cristina an my god is Poseidón. Poseidón was the god of the sea and, as a ''Earth-Shaker'', of earthquakes. He was called by the Romans Neptune. In the foto i can see that Poseidón (Neptune) are with a triton a he is wearing a tunic. The name of the god Nethuns in Etruscan was adopted in latin for Neptune in roman mithology: both were sea gods anolous to Poseidon. (:

Hola!
